Chocolate Walnut Cake recipe - (Serves 4-5) Cooking time - 4 min


¾ cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
½ cup flour (maida)
1 tsp baking powder
¼ cup milk
½ cup oil
½ tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp chopped walnuts

1. Grease the dish.
2. Sift flour with baking powder and cocoa. Keep aside.
3. Mix 1 tsp. of flour with the chopped walnuts and keep aside.
5. Add essence and oil. Mix well.
6. Fold in the flour gradually till all the flour is used. Add milk to get a slightly thinner than soft dropping consistency. Beat gently. If you are using an electric beater, beat at a low speed.
7. Pour into the dish and Micro high uncovered for 4 minutes.
8. Let stand 4-5 minutes.
9. Let stand 5-10 minutes before removing from baking dish.

Tip - Use a 5-6" round, 4-5" deep dish. Fill it only half. Don't use a cake tin. Use a round dish, not a square or rectangular one. Do not microwave for a longer than 4 minutes even if the surface of the cake does not feel firm and it appears wet.
